Southern Drift Brewing Co. started with a simple belief: the right room changes everything.

Not the loudest room. Not the trendiest room. The room where people feel recognized. Where conversations go somewhere. Where you find yourself staying a little longer than you planned - maybe for another conversation, another laugh, another beer.

Our story is a new chapter built on an old foundation. When we took over this brewery in Winston-Salem’s Industry Hill, we saw a place with character, history, and something worth building on. We didn’t want to simply change the name. We wanted to create something people could feel connected to.

We brew craft beer we’re proud of—with quality, consistency, and care. But great beer is just the beginning.

The real magic happens after the first pint. The conversation that starts over a beer or a community event. The person across the table you didn’t expect to meet. The friends you make. The memories you didn’t plan on making.

We call it the Rookery.

In the wild, penguins gather in rookeries—places where they come together, look out for one another, and find a sense of belonging.

Southern Drift is built on the same idea.

When people feel connected to a place, they come back differently. They bring people. They stay longer. They become part of it.

We’re not the biggest brewery in town.

We’re building a place worth coming back to.

A place where you can come as you are. No judgment. No rush. No ego. Just good beer, good people, and a place worth staying awhile.
